Flashback: Breaking out

[Dread]

((This is about my breakout of the Poison Tail clan. I happen to be Kei's (current leader) son, and the only way to not follow in his footsteps is to break out of the underground complex im being trained in, and fake my death. If you join this RP, be aware that you might not be talking to me directly for a while, unless someone has some way of telepathy. Also keep in mind that this has *technically* already happenned. Sorry for the long begginning x.x))

AGAIN! "yells the trainer, instructing Dread to repeat the fighting moves he just demonstrated"
... "Dread says nothing, still panting from the previous exhibition"
NOW! "the trainer screams, whipping Dread across the face with his tail."
*Dread's black mark grows*
grrrr "Dread growls, eyes menacing."
*Dread repeats the moves, decimating another training dummy*
Enough "the trainer sighs" off to your chambers. Out of my sight, at the very least.
*the trainer walks off, obviously displeased with Dread's performance*
Dread walks over to the window, small, barred, and mostly underground.
*he removes a fire-proof scroll from the shelf next to him*
"in it, he writes" prisoner of the Poison Tail clan. If any dragon receives this message, I am at the 4th window, on the ground."
*He blows fire on the paper, heating it more and more.*
the heat will allow the paper to fly farther, hopefully "Dread says to himself"
*he lets the paper fly out of the window. the paper catches the wind, flying above and beyond the castle. It floats out of the realm the Poison Tail controls...*

[Midnight]

Midnight finished her conversation with a guard and walked towards the element leader's tower. She stopped when she saw a scroll floating through the air. She flew into the sky and grasped the still-burning scroll and opend it. Her eyes widened as age read the message. "Prisoner? I thought Poison Tail just killed." She shut the scroll and headed towards Poison Tail's lands. "If they're keeping a prisoner, they must be important." She paused. "Or a trap. No matter, I have to take risks." She beat her wings harder and harder untill she reached Poison Tail's lands. "Alrighty, let's see what we can do then."

[Dread]

*an inner feeling arises within Dread*
So someone has the letter "he says, pondering"
i wonder who got it? someone outside of this place, hopefully.
*thinking even more, he simply begins to give up hope*
I mean really, what are the chances of it getting outside of the realm? And whos to say this person will care? Ah well... might as well return to training... Kei has already done enough "modification" as punishment "he says, looking down at the black marks along his belly" i don't want to be in another of his alchemic "experiments" again...

[Midnight]

Midnight stands behind a large rock, looking for where this 'prisoner' might be. She quickly scans the area. "God, where the hell is this guy? It always has to be difficult."

(sorry for the weird post, I had no idea what I was going to say -_-)

[Dread]

(haha, that's fine)
*Dread walks over to his father*
Kei, i've completed my training today. "he says, looking down"
I am your father; address me as such. But for now, come with me. "Kei said, turning to face the corridor"
*Why do I feel as if this is not ending well for me* "Dread thought to himself"

[Kei]

Kei stalked through the corridors, annoyed with Dread for addressing him is such a disrespectful way.

[Dread]

Where are you taking me now, father, "Dread asks, straining his voice on the last word"
I did what you asked; you said i wouldn't be tested on if i trained!

[Kei]

"Yes. Well, I lied." He grinned.

[White Wing]

White Wing approached Dread and Kei. "He's back, eh?" She said. "Well, let's get started."

[Dread]

*Dread pauses for a moment, deciding what to do*
What today "Dread asks, trying to keep the nervousness out of his voice."
Certainly you're done changing ME "he says, sounding anxious"

[White Wing]

"Of course we're not done. Why do you think you exist?"

[Dread]

*Dread looks at White Wing, at Kei, than back again*
What do you mean by THAT "Dread asks malevolently, his mark faintly pulsing"

[White Wing]

"Oh, come on. Don't play dumb. You were brought to this world for this exact reason. You were never any use to us in the first place."

[Dread]

*Dread pauses in his tracks, taking in the information*
And... What if i don't play your little games? what if I refuse? you can't keep my in here forever: dragons need to fly to have strength, and i'm sure i would need strength to be useful to you... "he says cautiously, still angered, his marks begin to spark out"

[White Wing]

"If you refuse, you die. Simple as that." White Wing growled. He was starting to get annoying.

[Dread]

Will you at least tell me this time? will I at least KNOW what you've done to me, instead of killing my best and only friend finding out? "Dread says, exasperated"

[White Wing]

"Aura." She said. "That's all I'll tell you."

[Dread]

*Dread sighs*
That doesn't sound as bad as... "He drops off his sentence, gazing down at his marks"
You still never fully explained what these marks do exactly; The only thing I do know is that it made me kill a friend. "Dread says, resigned to his fate"

[White Wing]

"Figure it out." White Wing said, entering the test room

[Dread]

umm... *Dread looks away slightly, embarrassed"
so now that i'm complying... can I eat? I didn't get dinner, as you called me down for your testing. It's a little important... But you know that already... "Dread says, stomach LOUDLY grumbling"

[Kei]

Kei leaves the corridor and walks outside. "That boy. He'll betray us some day. I know it."

[Dread]

*Dread becomes more and more agitated*
Seriously. Need food. You should know that about me; after you put these marks on me, if I don't eat... well, i guess i might not be compliant. "he says, looking at the empty shelves outisde of the main eating hall"
And we wouldn't want that. I don't think, even if you would kill me, you would like having to deal with me in that state...
